PilotCheckpoints are fixed company-wide; they are looking at an option for more flexibility and a focus on proactive direction.
At the Middenmeer site around forty people work in a 9.5-hectare greenhouse, directed by two foremen and a site manager.
Checks are already done, several times a week for the whole team, and that is set up digitally. The checkpoints are fixed AgroCare-wide, so a site itself can change little about them.
At the moment no signal comes back when someone is below standard, so there is no proactive direction.
The trigger was an article in Groentennieuws. It reached the board with the question whether GrowPilot could mean something for the sites.
Sharper checks and above all more room to set them up per site. Every site works slightly differently and has its own points of attention. Then you want to be able to set the checkpoints to the way of working at that place, instead of working with one list that is the same everywhere.
That also matters as soon as the activities in the greenhouse change. With a variety or crop change, what you watch for shifts, and the system has to move with what is happening at that moment.
One 9.5-hectare greenhouse, one month, free of charge. The Nitea connection is made before the crop change, so data is already coming in the moment the new crop starts.
In scope: checks, rechecks, standards and signals. The two foremen check, the site manager does spot checks.
After a month the decision is made: continue and roll out to a next site, or stop.
We give a short demo so you can see whether your greenhouse can be lifted to a higher level too. Or sit in on the online session first, together with other growers.
